The Tanqua fly in was grate, and so was all the people that attended the Fly in. Peter it was nice meeting you, and yes I think we must buy a Vario and start using the Whispers for gliding. The express has also a good glide ratio. Must admit I am a bit afraid flying close to the mountains. But will start practicing and maybe the fear will pass.
I flew to Tanqua (350km) with a tail wind of 70 kph - 1hour 20 min. Use 20 liters.
I flew back to Springbok with 60km head wind - 2 hours 15 min use 44 liters
My cruising speed was 200 to 210 kph.

Seems the head wind influence my justment or maybe I spent not enough time to get her on a good step. To Tanqua I flew at 9500 ft nice and high, and due to the head wind I stay close the ground at 3500 - 5500 ft. Maybe that influences the fuel consumption as well.
Attached a photo of all three Whispers. Warren was already busy with his warm up for the flight home.
