Hi Jamie

Good to hear you're joining us
Most of what's happening now is behind the scenes spadework
The main thing is get accommodation booked if you're not staying at the airfield

Closer to the time we'll be sending out detailed info. Included will be ATC procedures
for the area, alternare airfields and specifics for Paradise Beach
The programme will be laid back & hopefully interesting - this is not an airshow though

I see Piet Geldenhuis has joined our ranks
Well done Piet - please join us; your aery looks georgeous

Cheers
Dave

Hello everyone

A month to go & we're gaining altitude…!

Today, a bit about food
The man who builds ALL the Whisper kits is Stuart.
His amazing wife Estelle, is also a restauranteur…& she will be catering for us
We will certainly eat, drink & be merry; it is Workers Day after all.

From Thursday to Saturday all meals will be available through Estelle, except the Sunrise Breakfast Run along the coast to Plett (more on that next week!)
We'll be spending Thursday evening at Estelle's restaurant "Tarts & Roses" & enjoying a Beach braai after flying on Friday

During the day, a tuck shop will also be operating from the clubhouse

For those not wanting to rough it, and with all of Estelle’s contacts in the business, she also has a sizeable B&B.
Estelle’s contact # is on the FAPX attachment

For those of us camping & enjoying the crisp, dewy mornings from under a wing or tent, there are no charges, just a donation box to help support the new clubhouse, whose facilities we will be enjoying.

Next week I'll go over some activities and the flying
In the meantime, please take particular note of the airfield hazard

Cheers for now
Dave

Making plans as we speak. Hoping to have at least 2 of the 3 FASI Whispers along plus RF4 plus hopefully a Falke. Maybe backed up by C172 ferrying other club members to join in the fun.
For those staying on the airfield DO NOT pitch your sleeping bag near Gary Whitecross or Peter Bains without SERIOUSE earplugs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Safe flying to all

Accommodation - Why dont we try and rent a house where we can all stay and form Home Base?
If we get numbers now we can look into a suitable house to rent?
Anybody have any better ideas or does everybody want to do there own thing?
