If all goes according to plan FDI will be legal in time. Will probably plan to leave FAPX at about the same time as you so we can meet up at gariep...

So far the weather is looking very good for the weekend of the 28th :D
Bethlehem it appears is not for sissies.
Highs of 17` and Lows of 3` are the norm!!!

I'll bimble along at about 120 kts. but It wont hurt for one of us to get to Gariep a little early as you can wait a while for fuel. I think we had best phone ahead and let them know we are coming. How many of us will there be? So far I only know of you and Russell.

Spoke to Jaco at Gariepdam. No problem for avgas friday and Sunday - first one in to call him on 0826531889 or 051 7540070.

I will go low level to Gariep but looks like we will have to file a flight plan FAHV - FABH and they are planning to have standard joining procedures. Coming from our side it will be: Ficksburg - Fouriesburg (24 nm's) - abm Retiefsnek (10 nm's - expect joining west side Gerrands dam (5 nm's))

Departing Gariep 0830 UTC :?
Looks like we may have a headwind NE for the trip
I see Bethlehem will have a tower operating on friday which they want called 15nm's out.
"Bethlehem Tower" - 120.2

Don't now of any others from Eastern Cape or Western Cape?
