Yes, life is sweet and now the engine is sorted thanks to the great team at LegAir ZU-OLY is cruising like you can not believe. We have had nice 2 hour jaunts from Springs to Harrismith and last week-end to Bethlehem in search of the elusive Freestate virgin knowing 3 wise men were out of the question (Now that Albert is nolonger resident!).
True to form landed after1.5 hour flight to find the airfield TOTALLY deserted! A local arrived in his bakkie who turned out not to be connected with the airfield in any way but just wanted to see what had made that "whoosing" noise as we passed over his house close by.
Left and headed for the mountains and Clarens. Got bounced around in strengthening winds and headed back to Springs on a 2 hour return passing strong veldt fires just north of the Vaal Dam.
Good time had by all! Now where to next???????
The Zimmer Kid out of retirement!

one thing is for sure...Margate is a more cheerful place than Bethlehem...particularly in winter :)
I hope we can get quite a few Whispers to Margate this year....I attended 13 Margate EAA events in the good old days...and was never disapointed....hope to see you all there this year :D
