Today was the delivery date.
They took two months to prepare the quotation.
Thus far in excess of R150 000-00 had been paid, and another R30 000+invoiced but disputed, and not paid, because:-

Engine Start
Engine started, and running smoothly.
Aerocarb to be thrown out to be replaced by a fuel injection system.

Just had word from Mike that this aircraft had a sucessful first flight a short while ago - well done!
Says he'll post pics and details later.
Well done to Uys and his team - I have not seen the a/c but judging by the highly skilled team that worked on it I am sure it is a "show stopper".
This is the ninth Whisper to fly.

First Flight
First flight higher than two metres!!
We did actually leave the ground during taxi trials for short hops, but it doesn't count!
Some work still to be done, intake and outlet still to be made retractable, wheel spats, upholstery, minor tweaks etc.
But it FLIES!!!!!!!
