Roger,Was in George for a week and only flew it once.
Was a dream flight and very impressed.
Very happy with all the work that has beed done on it as the Jab boys are very meticulous and everything is done to perfection....
Still have to finish off a few minor tweaks but generally the aerie is looking magnificent and hoping to get Jean to deliver it to me in PE.
Should not be longer than another week or so although anything may be possible!!

folks i am finally on my way to George crack of dawn tomorrow morning with Andrew Bester to collect ZU-ENN...........photos of celebration to follow!!

Andrew & I arrived at Jabiru in George Saturday morning to be warmly greeted by Jean.He had already ben having his last bit of "playtime" in ENN and it was all ready for us.One Familiarization flip with Jean and with the Hobbs on 6 hours ##%* and wind blowing 15 knots Crosswind from the North across runway 29.... i asked Andrew if he was ok and he nodded.Andrew i said are you sure? No problem he replied..... oh yes and it is blowing 25knots SW in PE? No problem again i have spoken to PE and sky is clear.So of we go and did we make good time with the tailwind and revs at 2500 and a fuel burn of 12 litres IAS 80 Knots and ground speed around 100 plus knots!Got to Gamtoos and routed for Uitenhage for a quick tuch and go! at A's home base.Wind now 25Kts gusting 39Kts!!!! The Maestro put the Whisper down fautlessly and we were off again ready for FAPE.Well i called Finals with a little nervous twitchiness in my voice as i heard the ATC merrily sing out clear to land and wind gusting 39 kts. straight down 26 ... well i could just see him sitting back in his chair thinking who are these nutters and this is gonna be interesting...well once again the Meastro did Whisper proud and after a bit of stick jockeying we were on the ground going straight! ZU-ENN performed like a dream in spite of the torrid conditions and i am now a very very proud Whisper owner to say the least.

Well Done Pete!!!!!!!!!!!!

Congradulations Pete and don't worry one day you can have proper long wings like the rest of us. Happy and safe flying!!!! :P

I flew Peter's aircraft on Sunday. Here is the mail I sent to Shadowlite:

To the Shadowlite team

I flew Peter Bain's aircraft this weekend and was very impressed.

In particular I liked:
1) The neatness and simplicity of the engine installation
2) The dual throttle system
3) The canopy optics
4) The neatness of the upholstery and instrument panel
5) The map shelf
6) The striping / decals design
7) The smoothness, power and ease of operation of the Jab engine

Well done to all concerned!
