Here we see Dave with his favourite composites tool - a 115mm angle grinder. And by the way there's no itch from that dust - it's all in the mind!!!
Jokes aside - wear a clean overall and breathing apparatus and if you do get it on your skin do not try and rub it off - instead get under a shower ASAP and you'll minimise any chance of a skin irritation. A lightweight painter's overall is ideal as it is not too hot in summer. Also try and cover your head and neck. Also be careful blowing the dust off with air. A light blast is fine but too high a pressure tends to force the sharp bits into your skin.
Once you've got used to this composites stuff and it's little quirks you'll love what you can create with it - with relative ease compared to other mediums - happy grinding!

Dave and Carl have been labouring away down in KZN and it seems like the aircraft is pretty close to finished apart from the engine installation. They have elected to use a subaru engine. I'm sure it will have ample thrust and possibly even be able to tow gliders. Unfortunately though it won't fit in the standard whisper cowlings. See you in the sky soon!
