Most people get the inside of the cockpit reasonably smooth and then hide the last blemishes with speckle paint or even carpet. None of that is good enough for our man Stewart. The inside of Tim's cockpit is as smooth as the wings! Painful these perfectionists :D

1 Nov 2009 was THE DAY....

ZU-GAA did her first flight. Conditions were far from ideal with a gusty wind of about 25kts. All went well.

Pics to follow!

BTW Tim it was worth the wait - she is a beauty!!!!

incidentally this is the 21st Whisper to fly........for the sentimental types I think that is a significant numeral........probably good enough reason for a party!! :D

GAA did a few more flights this weekend. See pics.

The bar was already set pretty high regarding whisper build quality.........well it just got higher :D
GAA might not have flashy stripes or leather upholstery BUT the finish and fit of every part of this aircraft is close to perfect!

"Homebuilt" aircraft are often considered inferior to factory built aircraft in terms of build quality etc....which in many cases is probably true....well not in this case!! This is one pretty machine!
