Well, after assembling thirteen of these beauties I decided that it was time to put my money where my mouth is so to speak. This morning Peter called me at 07:05 and invited me for a flight out to Cape St Francis. I jumped at the oppertunity to fly in a plane that I had assembled and rigged myself. Peter picked me up at Uitenhage airfield and we set off in what must have been the most fantastic conditions. I thoroughly enjoyed the flight and was amazed at the smoothness of the Jabiru motor. Time to head for home came all too soon and after doing an orbit around my place, the birth place of Peter's Whisper, we set her down at Uitenhage.
Thanks Peter for one of the most enjoyable flights I have had!!
At least I have flown in a plane I assembled myself now.
Now it is back to the workshop to put the finishing touches to Sean Selkon's Whisper. I am hoping that his will be the next to fly, hopefully by the end of Feb '08
